about my design
This tray is for carrying wine glasses and party snacks. It is shaped like an artists palette, wine glasses held in slots along the front edge are secured by a dip in the plastic to prevent them from sliding out, and scalloped recesses shaped like splodges of paint can used to hold party snacks.

what the people say

Pretty good Man. I reckon that left hand thumb must get a bit tired during loading no If a standard tray still has a couple of glasses in at the end of a distribution run you simply put it down. You would have a bit more work to do with this in the same situation. If you made the glass holding grooves parallel you could unload simply by placing over a table lowering until the bases of the glasses are resting and then after a slight further lowering movement you could retract the palette horizont

This looks perfect for finally civilising carrying food and drinks at parties They look easily stacked so you could easily store them. I run a film company and a variation would be fantastic for location catering. Brilliant.
from: Yanina Barry

very practical and user centred having worked for a catering service i could have done with one of these
from: sanya

great

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL DESIGN I LOVE ART AND I LOVE THIS. I RATE THIS A WELL URNED 5 STAR.
from: MEGAN

own an art shop and think this could be a cool idea for private view nights in art galleries. also great for buffet parties when you find you dont have enough hands for nibbles and drinks.
from: joanne

Nice idea but what ever happened to a good old tray In my eyes its a solution to a non existing problem. 1
from: Spencer

Very artistic
from: Tom

This is the kind of design we should see more of. I would definitely buy one of these.
from: designguru

This idea have been done before

Smokers need an ashtray too in version two please.
from: deshan

Great idea. Im always dropping wine glasses
from: elsie Joostens

This idea is genius. Combining the one handed holding of an artists palette with a serving tray is brilliant. If these existed I would replace every tray at my catering business with them. I would prefer it in black though.
from: Indo Rapsaga

It looks like it was made for children with the bright primary colours and it is not exactly a classy way of carrying drinks to your guests
from: tralala

Forget the palette idea its a bit kitsch but done more sleekly theres a real nub of an idea for a drinks tray re-think. What an excellent way to carry about tall glasses for offering at parties Refine refine and get that idea out there. I bet it will be taken up and used in restaurants rather than having waiters try to manoeuvre with a tray of teetering and sliding Champagne flutes.

Smell my cheese Razalgette
from: Fiddler

kinda lame
from: erin

a cood idea and could be made for one person to use at garden parties.
from: rae

Think this would be great as an individual design one wine glass perhaps 2 one for redone for white plus nibbles that you can take off the main buffet this idea would work well for major PR events major gallery private views ect where people have to get up and mingle and there is nowhere to sit down anyway particularly if you could organise the catering in the package and various other seminars and other events - but you would need to sound out the market in the arts The Tate Galleries who hold
from: Annie Pooley

Clever commercial and a real ice-breaker
from: Maddy

Clever

good idea
from: sharon

I wonder how many people here have carried many trays in their life I would worry about the balance issue with this design- normal trays are easily rearrangeable so that when things are taken the balance can be adjusted easily. The thumbhole acting as a counterbalance might offset this to a degree but this isnt an artists palette with a fixed centre of gravity- it could be quite awkward and cause potential spillages
from: Erika

Would you want people reaching over glasses to reach snacks Why not have a single function one just for glasses... but the tray has been invented I guess
from: BFB

I love the concept of a little area for food and grab yourself 5 glasses of wine its the winner in my book Lee but should be targeted to individual buffet attendees
from: David Cowell

putting all the wine glasses IN is probably a bit of a challenge. The hosthostess goes round with snacks and a bottle to fill the wine glasses the guests already have daft idea
from: Dr Bill Phillips

Great idea with lots of possibilities for future development.
from: Ben Thurnell

Efficient Practical Simple. With the right color scheme it would appeal to any party style.
from: Gary McMurray

ultimate in naff accessories - 010
from: Johnny English

Fantastic idea. Would need a Party pallet station so numerous could be held in waiting for the bigger functions
from: Karen Couling

Great idea. Solves the problem of nibbling and drinking while trying to mingle. Dont know why you would need space for more than one glass of wine though.
from: Beckie

A design that actually works Anyone who has spilt red wine on the carpet knows the pain.
from: MR BEASLEY

Individuals ones would be great with the larger ones for the caterers. Just the thing for Art Gallery exhibitions.
from: Peter James
