Sales Consultant

Trafford Centre, Manchester

We have 2 exciting vacancies for full-time Sales Consultants for our store in Trafford Centre, Manchester M17 8AS.

We aren't your average retailer and so we're not looking for someone average. We are looking for someone who has the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven experience in sales and customer service in a retail environment or in another customer focused industry
  • Be able to demonstrable experience in exceptional customer service and able to demonstrate how you build that relationship.
  • Thrive on targets and ensure that customers receive an exceptional shopping experience
  • Have a positive attitude
  • Displays a huge amount of enthusiasm, energy and passion for our products and brand. You need to love our products and you will be expected to discuss your favorites with us at interview
  • A part of your role will involve receiving regular deliveries from our Warehouse, helping with lifting and moving customer collections and supporting the Store Manager with store layouts. Manual handling experience and training would be strongly advantageous. Training will be provided but the ability to carry out the above is essential.

An exciting vacancy has arisen for a Deputy Store Manager at our store in Barton Square, Trafford Centre, Manchester.

Dwell is a highly exciting brand offering discerning customers contemporary, unique in-house de-signed furniture alongside a wide range of home accessories in a stimulating contemporary retail environment. The company operates a mail order catalogue, has a strong online presence and an expanding retail division. We currently operate 5 stores: London - Tottenham Court Road, Westfield White City & Westfield Stratford, Barton Square - Manchester & Princes Square in Glasgow.

Overview
The Deputy Manager will assist the Store manager to grow sales and maximize profitability through supporting, coaching and mentoring store staff while maintaining the highest levels of customer experience.

Health and Safety / Warehouse Manager

Milton Keynes

We have exciting vacancy for an exceptional Health and Safety / Warehouse Manager to join our team at our Distribution Centre in Newport Pagnell, Milton Keynes.

As Health and Safety / Warehouse Manager you will be responsible for providing the development and implementation of health and safety best practice across the company, ensuring that the Company complies with all current health and safety legislation. You will ensure effective management of the Warehouse operations, in line with company values and statutory legislative compliance.

The role will be based at the distribution centre and the role requires some travel to different locations.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

  • To promote positive health and safety culture within the workplace;
  • To work proactively with all Directors and Managers to develop all aspects of health and safety policy and ensure that it is implemented consistently across all areas of the Company;
  • To continuously assess the status of health and safety within the Company and identify areas for improvement and develop new policies and systems of work to address these;
  • To ensure risk assessment and accident management systems are in place and to take part in these;
  • To identify staff training needs in relation to Health and Safety and to train staff in various areas of health and safety as and where required;
  • To outline safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards;
  • To carry out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented;
  • To record incidents and accidents;

In addition to the Health and Safety responsibilities, the Health and Safety Manager/Warehouse Manager will also carry out the following duties:

  • Implement, manage, organise and deliver warehouse operation providing continuous improvement in efficiencies, establishing and following best practice and enhancing customer service

  • The ideal candidate will have the following skills, attributes and experience:
  • Will hold an IOSH qualification and NEBOSH certificate.
  • Has relevant experience for warehouse and distribution functions plus retail units to ensure the company's Health and Safety Policy is implemented consistently across all areas of the business.
  • Is qualified in Manual Handling and fork lift licenses
  • Essentially a good understanding of the HSAW 1974 along with PUWER, LOLER etc. for the DC.
  • Is up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer's industry;
  • Has extensive knowledge of effective health and safety management strategies and best practice.
  • Has detailed knowledge of current health and safety legislation and its application in a Distribution Centre/Retail environment
  • Has excellent written and interpersonal skills and the ability to challenge constructively.
  • Has effective team working and networking skills and the ability to work independently using own initiative.
  • Willingness to put in extra effort to get the job done properly and a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Creative, resourceful and persistent problem-solver and solution-finder.
  • Enjoy dealing with people and able to communicate effectively and concisely at all levels with both internal and external customers.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
